Benjamin started learning the piano at the age of 7, and picked up percussion during his secondary school days. Since then, he has had the opportunity to perform with various groups, such as West Winds, Philharmonic Youth Winds, Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra and the Lion City Brass Band.

 

During his National Service, Benjamin served as a military musician in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Band, and was given the opportunity to perform at significant events such as National Day Parades, SAF Day Parade and the Opening Ceremony of the 28th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games. In addition, he was selected to perform together with the SAF Central Band at the 5th Amur Waves International Military Bands Festival in Khabarovsk, Russia.

 

Benjamin performs regularly as a percussionist with the Lion City Brass Band, and concurrently serves as its Concert Manager.
