Lim Jit Xin first picked up the cornet at the age of 8 in Maha Bodhi Primary School. As an active musician, he has performed with several prominent groups in Singapore, including Orchestra Collective, Orchestra of the Music Makers, Musicians' Initiatives and the Singapore Wind Symphony. During his National Service, he served as a trumpeter with the SAF Ceremonial Band and performed in several high key events, such as the Opening Ceremony of the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games and the Golden Jubilee National Day Parade in 2015.

 

In 2019, he joined the Lion City Brass Band as its Solo Flugelhorn, and was featured as a soloist at the Esplanade Concert Hall.
